The steps you need to take to delete a Facebook group are as follows:

• Log in with the account in which you have the group you want to delete.
• When you are in your Feed, go to the left column and search for Groups.
• A new window will appear with everything related to your groups.
• You have to go to the option Groups you manage and then click on the group you want to leave. Something that is recommended to do is to delete all the members that are in the group . To do this you have to click on Members. You will have to eliminate each member until you are the only one left in the group.
• Finally, click on the three dots next to your name and click on Leave group.
• A window will appear indicating if you want to delete and leave your group.
• Confirm and your group will be deleted.

If you are not sure you want to delete the group, what you can do is to archive it instead of deleting it.

To do so, follow these steps:

• Log in with the account to which you are going to archive the group.
• In the left column, you will have to look again for the Groups option and then click on Groups you manage.
• Then click on the three dots next to Share, You are a member and Notifications.
• Several options will be displayed. You will only have to click on Archive group and confirm.

When a group is archived users will not be able to find it and members who were already in the group will receive a notification that it has been archived. In this state the members of the group will not be able to do anything and will only have access to the content .

How do I delete a Facebook group that is not mine?

• In the news section, click on Groups in the left menu or search for the name of the group you want to report.
• Click on the three dots at the bottom of the cover photo and select Report group.
• Choose the type of problem the group has.
• Click on Next and finally on Done.

When we inform Facebook that a group does not comply with the established rules, Facebook reviews the content of the group that may be in violation of the Facebook Community Standards. However, keep in mind that reporting a Facebook content does not guarantee that it will be removed. After reporting a Facebook group, the platform will notify you whether it has been removed or not.
