Cookie policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Here we explain which cookies and similar technologies repscan.com uses, what they are for, who manages them, and how you can accept them, reject them or change your mind whenever you like.
In short
- Necessary cookies make the website work and can’t be switched off.
- Analytics and marketing cookies are only switched on if you accept them. Until you decide, they aren’t used.
- Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and you can change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
- We remember your choice for 12 months. After that, we ask you again.
Who is responsible
The controller of the first-party cookies on this website is Repscan Technology, S.L., with tax ID B42758102 and registered address at Av. Diagonal, 534, 2-2, 08006 Barcelona (Spain).
If you have any questions about this policy or about your data, you can write to our data protection officer at dpo@repscan.com.
Some cookies are set by other companies whose services we use on the website. These are third-party cookies, and in the list below you can see which company manages each one.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small file that a website saves in your browser when you visit it. It is used, for example, to remember the language you chose, keep a chat conversation open or find out how many people visit a page.
Besides cookies, some tools use similar technologies: the browser’s local and session storage, and pixels or tags that load when you open a page. In this policy we call all of them “cookies”, because they follow the same rules.
Depending on who manages them, cookies can be first-party (we manage them) or third-party (another company manages them). Depending on how long they last, they can be session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (they last for the time shown in the list).
Which cookies we use and what for
Necessary
They make the website work: security, language, remembering your cookie choice, the support chat, contact forms, the WhatsApp button, videos and customer reviews. Because they are essential to provide the service you ask for, they don’t need your consent under article 22.2 of Spain’s Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce (Ley 34/2002, de servicios de la sociedad de la información y de comercio electrónico).
Analytics
They tell us which pages are visited, for how long and from what type of device, so we can understand what works and improve the website. They are only switched on if you accept them.
Marketing
They measure the results of our campaigns and let us show you RepScan ads on other websites and social networks. Some of these tools may build a profile from your browsing to choose which ads to show you. They are only switched on if you accept them.
The legal basis for analytics and marketing cookies is your consent (article 6.1.a of the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time, and that doesn’t affect anything done before.
List of cookies
This is the full list, with each service, the company that manages it, the names of its cookies and how long they last. We review it every time we add or remove a tool.
How to accept, reject or change your choice
The first time you visit, we show you a notice with three options at the same level: Accept, Reject and Settings. In “Settings” you can switch each type of cookie on or off separately. No option is pre-selected and, until you decide, only the necessary cookies are used.
You can change your mind whenever you like from the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page or with this button:
We keep your choice for 12 months. After that time, or if we add new tools, we will ask you again.
If you withdraw your consent, we stop using those cookies from that moment. You can delete the ones already stored in your browser yourself (we explain how below) or wait for them to expire.
Google Consent Mode
We use Google’s consent mode (Consent Mode v2) so that its tools respect what you choose. If you don’t accept analytics or marketing cookies, those tools don’t store or read cookies in your browser and only send Google signals without identifiers, for example that a page was viewed, which Google uses in aggregate form to estimate results. If you arrive from a Google ad and don’t accept, the click identifier may travel in the address of the pages you visit instead of being stored in a cookie. You can read how it works in Google’s help pages.
If you visit us from outside Europe
We show the cookie notice to people browsing from Europe (including the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), Brazil and Quebec, where the law requires permission before using cookies that aren’t necessary. We also show it when we can’t tell where you are visiting from. To work this out, we use the time zone reported by your browser, not your location.
In all other countries, where that prior permission isn’t required, cookies are switched on when you arrive, but you can still switch them off from “Cookie settings”. If you visit us from California, you can ask us not to sell or share your personal information from this link: Do not sell or share my personal information.
How to block or delete cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Keep in mind that if you block the necessary ones, some parts of the website may stop working.
Companies outside the European Economic Area
Some of the companies in the list, such as Google, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Apollo or OpenAI, are based in the United States or other countries outside the European Economic Area, or have their servers there, so the data collected by their cookies may leave the EEA.
When a company is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the transfer relies on the European Commission’s adequacy decision of 10 July 2023. You can check which companies are certified in the official list. In all other cases, the safeguards provided by the GDPR apply, such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
The data collected by third-party cookies is processed by each company under its own privacy policy.
Record of your choice
To be able to prove that you gave us your permission, or that you refused it, we keep a record of each session with what you chose: a random identifier, the date and time, your choice for each type of cookie, the version of the notice, the language, your IP address with the last two blocks hidden, your browser and operating system, your approximate country and city, and the pages you visit in that session.
We only use it for that purpose and keep it for 24 months. The legal basis is our obligation to be able to demonstrate consent (article 7.1 of the GDPR).
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to dpo@repscan.com. If you think we haven’t handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD; www.aepd.es) or with the data protection authority in your country (in the UK, the ICO).
You can find more information about how we handle your data in our privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the tools we use or the regulations change. You will see the date of the latest version at the top of the page and, if the changes affect cookies that need your permission, we will ask for it again.
